Engagement Community

Fun events bring community together including two annual bike tours highlight Spades and Brookside Parks, our local neighborhoods, and businesses. A free fishing day at the Art & Nature Park is an annual event.

Pogue's Run Trail

The Pogue's Run Trail was first envisioned in the 1994 Greenways Master Plan. When completed in Summer of 2026, it will span 3 miles of paved trail, 1.4 miles of unpaved trail, and 1.4 miles of paved roadway giving it a total of 5.8 miles.

Habitat Restoration

Partnering with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Cummins, and the Indianapolis Department of Public Works have resulted in extensive trash clean ups and habitat restoration efforts along Pogue’s Run in both Brookside and Spades Parks and beyond.
